I plow terraces with a 165 rollover occasionally, but takes a lot bigger horse than a 4455. The 5 bottoms draft pretty severely, I think a 6 bottom might actually pull easier because you have 3 bottoms on each side of center. You might be ok though, just depends on your ground and if you are plowing straight or curves.
I don't understand this line of reasoning, the theoretical center of draft on a 5 bottom plow is 1/4 of the width of the center bottom from the landside, in no circumstance will a 6 bottom pull easier then a 5 bottom plow of the same bottom width. |
