The way all these manufactures advertise ‘fuel savings’ on the new models drives me crazy. There are so many other things that have a way bigger impact on my bottom line. 1.2 vs 1.4 gpa (if there even is that big of a difference) is $.50… fertilizer cost me $400.


Using your example of .2, thats over $7,000 savings for us. $7,000 doesn’t make or break the farm but does pay a few extra bills. I’ve never have cared about fuel usage between different combines but it does give me a nice fuzzy feeling knowing our current combines are more fuel efficient then our old ones.
