The 9000 meter will take a lot of work to fit to the 8000 row unit. (Cast row unit vs steel in the 8000)

I put 9000 series cutoff brushes in my 8000 meters 3-4 seasons ago. Had to modify the meter to accept the longer brush length but this reduced the odd corn seed from getting stuck in the brush and causing occasional skips. Basically the brush starts a little closer to the top of the meter and less likely to trap any seed falling after the tickler brush does it’s thing.

It was time for new brushes anyway so I decided to give it a try and happy with the result.
