Gotta figure productivity. If both machines are run at capacity, the class 8 will pretty comparable in a per acre comparison. When not running at capacity the smaller one starts being more fuel efficient.
If your referring to Deere, I have heard the DEF machines are better fuel efficiency than previous years.
