No, it isn’t 24v positive ground, it's 24v split load. The starter and generator circuits are not grounded. The wire in your picture grounds one battery positive and the other negative. Half the lights and accessories run off one battery, Half off the other. That wire should have a 30 amp fuse in it to protect the 12v circuits. If the tractor has ever been rewired there will be 2 circuit breakers mounted on the starter, 99.9999% of them have been rewired as there was NO protection in the original system, almost all of them burned up...
