S-C Manitoba, Canada | You can get class 8 combines for 30k sometimes now. I bought 2 identical ones. If I have people they can both run, if one fails catastrophically it will become a parts machine for the other. If you compare it to custom rate after 100 hours it is payed for. Having a spare also let's me take the time to get things fixed by a local fab shop for a fraction of the price, where as when I had only one u was headed to the dealer and that credit card was just going to keep getting swiped until it was running again. You can also get a little more life out of everything if you know each combine only has to do 125 hours a season instead of 250 in one shot | |
