I use O’Reilly for paint supply they can match any color and should have single stage fast dry agriculture red premixed. Here, it 125 per gallon. Someone there can get you the correct thinner and give you instructions.

I recently paint an activity bus for my kids school. I used 320 grit on a dual action machine from harbor freight. 320 seemed a little aggressive but 400 didn’t seem to be accomplishing anything. I was told if there he paint present, ie no bare metal, there was no need to primer.

Be sure tape everything up you don’t want red.
