Subject: RE: Tandem dual Trailer length

I guess I am the exception. I dislike backing up ramps 3’ in air. To try to back a trailer up the ramp. From a loading dock would be fine. But getting brush hog correct, then tractor going up ramps…
It might be last loading on roll back. His winch was down. I backed up 2wd tractor. Duals. I stop. “I think I am getting too far North. I will roll ahead 5’ work it South a bit “. Driver tells me “it’s fine, keep going”. He was not parked level, things felt off. I stop, shut motor down. “It feels crooked”. He yells back “keep going it’s fine”
I stop, climb down. Only half the tire on North side on truck bed.
I ask him. “When I told you I thought I was North why didn’t you tell me I was right?” He commented his wife could back up better. I guess he wanted load more to ditch?
Figure never see him again. But you wish you could trust people.
With hitch, pto angles, backing that on to front of trailer on ramps. Does not sound like fun to me. Toss in dark, rain, wind… no thanks.
