Semi-trailer under-ride accidents have been a hot topic for a while now. I have seen specials on TV shows about them and efforts to get trailer makers to improve bumpers on the back and sides of trailers.
Liability lawyers are always looking for "deep pockets" to sue. After a few suits, they are also apt to change or improve trailer bumpers.
