In terms of grain harvesting ,did the old combines do a good job of harvesting?I know way harder to be the driver and slower than modern but did they have harvestable grain efficiency ?
When I was a kid my father had a Massey Harris six-foot cut Clipper pull-type combine, built in the 1940s.
It was used to harvest wheat and oats, never cut any beans, and didn't even have a corn head.
Regarding grain quality, it did an outstanding job of threshing and cleaning.
I assume it was a gentle thrashing action judging by all the living three-legged grasshoppers in the sample. (-: |
