The Treasurer said that many Insurance companies do not want to insure events like theirs that involve livestock due to potential lawsuits. He said that some small County Fairs may need to drop livestock as part of their fairs due to the extremely high cost of insurance. Dropping livestock from a rural County Fair would be a shame.
Dropping the livestock shows would effectively kill most rural county fairs.
