Penn Yan, NY | Old order Mennonite farmers are the ones adding new small dairies but there are a lot of them. Latest Mennonite map for this area shows over 700 households in the 3 closest counties and the only thing slowing east west spread are 2 lakes that bracket the area.
Go to the other side of the lakes and you find Amish that are even smaller farms, north are driving Amish or Mennonite and they tend to be fully modern with big farms and big equipment. | |
