NW Illinois | It’s very hard to get it flushed perfectly and the first place the leftover residue will collect is the coolant tank. If it looks excessive there is a chance the bolts were damaged when they were installed. The holes in the head need to be chamfered or they will cut the rubber on the bolts. I’ve done several head bolt pips and have been told chamfering the hole is critical. My dealer told me they have had to redo some that weren’t done right. You could pressurize the coolant system and see if it holds pressure. If it’s leaking you will loose pressure into the oil when not running. | |
