Northern Indiana
Step deck is defiantly the best option.

We were looking at goose neck trailers a few years ago. Ended up buying a new 39’ single axle step deck semi trailer with air ride suspension.

20000lb payload capacity, 22.5 tires, air brakes, air ride and pulled with a single axle L9000.

We already had the truck and all it was doing was pulling a single axle hopper in the fall. So the rest of the year it is hooked to the flatbed.

Absolutely no regrets with this set up. We use it as a second nurse trailer in the spring and early summer, then it hauls our track loader and mower to mow roadsides, haul hay or wherever work it gets.

Handy as a shirt pocket and safer than a gooseneck.
