How much fuel is in it? The entire fuel system can be below the level of the fuel or it can be above the fuel. Makes a big difference.

Fill your fuel tank completely full, and then let it sit for 2 weeks or whatever you were doing before. Thoroughly check for any fuel leaks, and recheck your fuel level to confirm it's still full.

With the tank full, the fuel level will be above the entire fuel/filter system. If no leaks, and a full tank after sitting, and it's still hard to start, it's not from fuel draining back.
