I was measured on my one and only overweight stop. The truck was a 180inch International 9200 with a 40ft Timpte trailer. I think they measured from the front axle to the rear trailer axle. I believe proof is correct. I had 12,000 on the steer axle and measured 50' 7" so rounded up to legal length. The semi tandems were carrying 34,000 but the rear trailer had 36500lbs , so I got to pay $300 fine. I weighed 82,500 total which would have been legal if it was evenly distributed over each axle going from bin to elevator. I have since made my $300 back by not having been weighed in the last 10 years.
