Coles County, Illinois | I don't have proof of this but I believe the whole wiring system for this is running on an isolated power supply. This plus the fact that they're using transistors to operate the up and down solenoids makes this difficult to troubleshoot. Being isolated means that measuring voltages to the combine ground is meaningless. Also with solid state switching measuring voltage with a DMM is also worthless. The DMM has a high enough resistance that one can measure leakage voltage across the transistor. This leakage voltage cannot do any work. | |
