Subject: RE: What is it worth? (standing grain elevator)

North Central Iowa

I got a pair of legs that are a little older, but meticulously maintained every year, and above ground, so no rust on the boots.  I got them for taking them down.  It cost me $3,500 in labor and crane time to get them on the ground.  Two legs, one 60' 3500 bph and one 105' 1,200 bph with distributors, spouts, and loading conveyor.  They were advertised for a while with no bids.  I had built them many years ago when I worked for the local millwright and I knew the guy that owned them and maintained them until he retired.  The building site sold and the new owner had no use for the grain setup.  It's probably not worth a lot.
