jd43.. take a very close look at the 16 pin connector male pins on the header that connect to the combine feeder house. if those are corroded or even really dark looking you may have to replace those pins. be aware you need the puiller tool, and the special weather pack crimping pliers to put the new ones on. they will pull out really hard. I just bought a new connector housing and put the new pins in. this was not real easy, If I did it again I would strip insulation back to the back of the pin clamps and squeeze them against the wire, there is no extra room for that pin in that little hole.

anyhow, this fixed most of my issue, but the control box (on the head) wafers get worn really fast and will need replaced. you can replace the circuit board part # ah 103526, way cheaper than the whole box. $130 vs $430. use plenty of good sealer around the cover edges, any dirt gets in there and it will scrub off the metallic wafers and will stop working.

I had another issue with a dinky oring in the valve stack that was ruined and the whole thing wouldn't work till I replaced that.

I miss the old hhc that used two microswitches, one for up one for down. never had an issue with that one ever.
