MY 915F had a spot about 12" long where mice had eaten all the insulation off all the wires. This was where the wire passes over the feeder house. I had enough slack that I didn't have to remove the connector. I pulled the wire from the right side. Maybe you can pull it from the left side to check it. My John Deere Tech friends say this is a common problem.
