Here, there would certainly be a mud dauber nest in the inlet to the pump!
I would disconnect inlet hose and inspect and attempt to pressurize pump outlet with air to force anything the little buggers put in there back out of the inlet. Sure don’t want to grind up the dirt nest and push it into the rest of the hydraulic system.
