VT | We have a utility tractor with 380/85r24 tires on front, on 12" wide rims. It needs new tires.
I'd prefer to put a pair of 420/70r24 on there, as the BKT data book states the latter are spec'd for a 13" rim, but could also fit on 12" like I currently have. So BKT says it's possible, but my hunch is a low-profile 16.9" tire on a 12" rim would be be a goofy, bulge-y fit that might negate the slight footprint advantage of the wider section width. Thoughts? I'm fine with putting 14.9's back on there if it's suspect.
