Subject: Hydraulic pump not working

I have a bearcat feed grinder with self contained hydraulics. Haven’t used it since last fall. Over the winter somehow the hose from the hydraulic reservoir to the pump came off and all the oil came out.
I got it out to use it today. Put hose on, filled up, and I can’t get the pump to build pressure.
Took hose off going into pump and oil is there. Thought maybe Stuart little was entombed in hose but he’s not. Took hose off coming out of pump,no oil there. Am I missing something or could pump have gone to crap sitting there? Not sure if it’s gear or vein pump but I’m guessing gear.
Ran when I parked it!
