Do they make them like that where you are ? I’ve never seen one like that here . Always have a bed with rods in the first few feet called the dirt eliminator which elevates the potatoes up to where they fall onto the boom bed which is always a belt .

Beds with rods used to have curved hooks on each end which is what connects the rods to each other . For about the last 40 years, the rods are riveted to a rubber belt on each end which typically outlasts the hooks that used to be . These beds with the rubber belts are known as speed beds .
