I don't think that would be a problem. The main thing we were told (right or wrong) was not to place the air pump too close to the airlock. The dealer felt it needed some volume in between to compress and smooth out variations in pressure caused by varying grain flow. He also wanted at least 20 horizontal feet before a vertical, so the grain could build up some speed.
