| I have no idea about kits but I make my own. Have done one grain cart, fertilizer spreader, a couple wagons and will be doing another grain cart this fall. Wagons and fertilizer spreader even had tarp kits I made. I use 2x8 lumber for wagons but the grain cart I have two planks stacked. Then taper the ends down from the high point down to a point at the right edge. Angle iron braces on the outside of the corners bolted to the top edge of the cart and through the ends of the planks. Have flat iron say 3" wide 1/4" that I'll put in the middle of a longer span bolted vertical to keep the boards from pushing out. I use 1/4x4" wood lags ran up through the ledge at the top of the cart up into the boards. Use carriage bolts at the ends where the front and back boards get thin at the right side to hold the boards to the cart. Paint to match. Been likely 10 years since I did the grain cart and I think the high side is 16 or 18" tall and never had an issue. | |
