Subject: RE: 2188 shoe auger wear at front block bearing

Parkston, SD
A few years back we made our own bearing blocks out of uhwm poly and put new augers in with backwards flighting except for the far right side. Then I reversed the rotation of the backwards ones by flipping the drive gears on the back. Our machine always wanted to load the left side of the sieves heavy with grain. This solved that problem. But I had repaired one of the old augers with a solid piece of shaft prior.
