E.Central MN | An auctioneer moved his consignment sale to another town because the people at the old site didn't like all the auction traffic. One year heavy rains made the dirt yard a muddy mess, they even had to pull the auctioneer's truck with a tractor. At the far end of the sale we saw a high quality OTC floor jack and like everyone else were thinking it would be a real job lugging it out to the road. We bought the jack for $25 and the auctioneer asked if we'd take a decent looking Craftsman 4 ton one for $5. Sure, why not. We paid for our items and went back to start lugging them out when one of the auctioneers drove by with a tractor, somebody had asked him to pull a hayrack loaded with used rafters out to the road. We helped him hook up and then asked if we could load our jacks on, too ---sure, no problem -- | |
