My salesman from my evil mega non family dealer brings parts out for us all the time when he is making the rounds. And if he is at the store and you are in a bind, he’ll meet you on the road
Maybe C Meyer can chime in on this, but I have always thought this is a good way to build loyalty with the customer. It is also a way for the salesperson to get to know their customers better.
Maybe I am out to lunch here, but if the salesperson was stopping by
(even better if they are dropping parts off
) and checking in with the customer, asking what machinery they are having issues with, what they want to replace next and keeping a list of that it would be a good way for them to sell equipment.
Farmer A wants a new combine, Farmer B is looking for a used combine, he could have the used one sold before it even hits the lot, but they have to ask and talk to their customers and not hide in the office.
