E ND | There are two ways that program works - the parts rep only stops at large accounts to basically inventory/restock your on-hand parts inventory and delivers other parts as convenient OR they cover a huge territory.
Is this person stopping by to see what you need, placing an order on the spot and delivering the next time or are they strictly delivering parts that were ordered?
The CAT dealer network employs PSSR's (Parts, Service Sales Representatives) that will call on the largest consumers of parts to measure undercarriage, discuss parts specials, restock parts/filters, etc. and will run parts to those accounts and deliver larger orders.
A strictly stop unannounced and see what you need territory/route parts salesman or parts delivery on demand is tough to make work outside of large accounts or a metro area with a lot of customers geographically close. | |
