My salesman from my evil mega non family dealer brings parts out for us all the time when he is making the rounds. And if he is at the store and you are in a bind, he’ll meet you on the road
Maybe C Meyer can chime in on this, but I have always thought this is a good way to build loyalty with the customer. It is also a way for the salesperson to get to know their customers better..
I agree. If a salesman is making a visit to customer A, B, and C, he doesn’t have to be bored to grab a part for customer D they might have waiting for them at the store and drop it off on the way. Just the other day my salesman brought out new pea concaves we ordered for the combines. He didn’t have to but he did anyway. That’s why our yard is full of green and not yellow, red, or rainbow.
