So this post isn't necessarily related to heavy duty pickups, but the mechanic was saying the other day that Ford runs their transmission temp about 30 degrees hotter than even Chevy, on the 10 spd transmissions, I believe. And Chevy is bad enough. My half ton Chevy with 8 speed had a 195 degree thermostat. Bypassed the thermostat so it runs 130-150 most the time now. Time will tell, as Chevy has been less than stellar with their reputation also.
