They are free once you get going with them. My uncle bought a set last Fall. Seems there is a 2 second delay in everything you say. Where you have good cell service they're good but when you don't it's just like dropping a phone call. You're talking with the button held in and nobody can hear what you're saying. Battery life is great on them.
