Look at it as an investment for sure. I’ve said it before but I bought a 4730 sprayer 9 hours from home based only on the online description, pictures, and talking to the salesman on the phone. Thought it was loaded, the only one I had found that checked all my boxes. 3 weeks later it shows up on the truck at my farm. The booms got shorter on the drive apparently, 90s instead of 100s. The hydraulic tread adjust was a fairytale and it was obvious the cab picture was of a different sprayer because the traction control switch was missing (didn’t have traction control). And it had a heck of a mouse infestation. Called the guy and he said “what do you want me to do about?” One of those deals where I wouldn’t have spent the money had I known the actually specs and condition but that’s the used equipment business. Now we drive no matter where it’s at to be sure. On the plus side we do still run the sprayer, had to spend a little extra money. But I ended up with 120’ boom extensions so it fits our operation even better than the 100s would have. Elbow grease and tearing apart the cab took care of the mice and smell. Can’t spread the axles with the push of a button is the only thing that really is a bummer as floaters aren’t on the right spacing for 30” corn but we make it work
