If this is the only 3 phase motor you'll use, then a static phase converter will probably work fine, it's not like you're going to get a lot of use out of an iron worker. If it can run through the hardest cut without stalling, then you have enough power. You can rig a few capacitors and a start relay to run it out of a typical junk pile if you want to do it cheap.
