Holly Hill, SC | I do not have all my information in front of me but: If the two sensors on the left and right ends are within their required voltage range while all the way up versus down on the cutter bar float range, things should be easy. With the rotor and header engaged, set the header down and press the set 1 button located right of arm rest.. Then press the resume button on the joy stick. The combine is suppose to know that it is in float mode and the header height number should bounce around and header should float.
Problems: voltage out of range (.7 volts to 4.3 volts) and not easy to diagnose with the 6088 combine. Newer combine (my 6150) I can see the voltages under a diagnostic screen and adjust the linkage as necessary. May have to calibrate header height by holding the down header for 3 to 5 seconds while on the ground.
