Sac & Story county IA
3 phase motor bigger than the motor on ironworker as an idler will make 3 phase. But be warned that the motor on an ironworker on the biggest shear or hole punch will be quite overloaded for a second or two. I run quite a few 3 phase motors on converters and I figure not much over 85% power out of a motor. If you are not going to use the machine to capacity or more, you will get along with a converter.
