Chad Toyne of trader phd has been telling his listeners for months not to panic sell. if i had panic sold on the first day i would have gotten tens of thousands of more dollars for the remainder of my 2023 crop. i continue to be convinced that none of the experts are an expert at grain marketing, its all merely a somewhat educated guess.
pretty much, they just are good enough salesmen to convince you they know something you don't and if you want to find out what it is you've got to pay them. And it is usually a $1/day, LOL. If they have 1,000 subscribers they are making over $300,000/year doing a daily 10-20 minute commentary on Youtube or kicking out a 2 or 3 paragraph email every day. The big ones have several thousand subscribers, so do the math, what they make for keeping up with the markets and reporting it out to you everyday. Most all of them are saying to buy a call with your cash sales, so you can never tell them they mislead you as you are supposed to capture any market gain with that call, by the way, they sell the calls. These markets make them rich as scared farmers line up for them to solve their marketing problems and the farmer is wanting someone to take on the responsibility for the disaster he created waiting for the big summer rally, and they are more than glad to help for a fee. |
