Faunsdale, AL | That will work as well. I would think there should be no oil leaking out of the line without brake pedal being pushed down. Could compare to the good side.
On the smaller tractors like the 2440,2840, 5000 series etc, the brakes are manual with just a “refill” circuit from the hydraulics that keeps the master cylinders full. Those have a brake bleed on top of the final drive area that releases any trapped air just like on a car or truck.
On your 4230 and all the large tractors, the brakes use hydraulic pressure controlled by the brake valve and have a bleed screw that releases oil into the rear housing when brake pedal is depressed. It has a jamb nut on a hex head screw.
