Used to be a guy here that pulled a 20 foot with a Farmall M. He raised sod and mowed at least one a week. We have a 15 foot and have used a 50 hp tractor a few times. It works but the tail can wag the dog. It's currently hooked to 145 hp. That's too much but that tractor is not useful in the hay field, so it's available. With too much hp you can smoke the clutches and not know it. 80-100 would be about right.
