Does it have a 6 volt coil? Should have a 6 volt coil. When you push starter button 12 volts goes to the coil when starting. When you release starter button the power from key goes through a resister reducing it to 6 bolts to the coil. You might also have a bad resister.
Bad resister shows up when tractor will fire up and then die as soon as you release key or starter button |
