Until it wasn't. After my recent post about cleaning up a woods I had cleared, i took an old allis field cultivator and moved most of the shanks to the rear. I took it to the site and it did a great job of aligning the sticks north and south.
No matter what depth or speed the sticks rolled around and slide out the rear. Seemed like a good idea.

Now go East and West... Then North and South... Takes some time but it will work... Always work toward the direction of the ending goal (hole or pile) So if I'm wanting to move things SouthEast, Then those are the only directions I'd switch between... May not get them all but you'll get 90% of the ones that will do damage... plus they will rot on top of ground better than underground...
