.1 grade over 500’ is 0.5 difference high to low
Field is already at .05 slope, half way there already so the elevation change would be 0.25 foot on top of what’s already there.

You will have to cut half of that on lower end and dump it at upper end. So max cut on the lower end is 0.125

no cuts on upper half so that halves the area you’re cutting

That’s the max cut and dump, in the center of the slope there’s actually 0, so that halves the average cut again.


(500 wide x 250 long lower half where you would be cutting x .125 max cut x 0.5 to average the cut across the lower half of the field/27=289 yards
