just a tish NE of central ND | Recently I spoke of my slow 12-volt 15-gallon rated fuel pump. I did some changes. I swapped the 3/4 inch hose and swivel and shutoff nozzle out for 1 inch hose and swivels and 1 inch 20 gallon shutoff nozzle.(not supposed to use a 20 gallon rated shutoff on a 15-gallon pump) It did kick itself out properly which surprised me.
Anyway, the results went from an hour and 15 minutes to fill 225 gallons down to 23 to 24 minutes. The pump has a 3/4 discharge but the filter is 1 inch. I am still using the same hydrasorb 10 micron filter.
Next,I will change to a taller filter like in some big bulk tanks to see if that speeds things up more.If I could get closer to the 15 gallon rating that would be OK with me. But this was already a great improvement
