Ontario, Canada | The splines wear due to slight misalignment. the fine splines are terrible about failing. the prior model years and the newer combines have a course 8 lug adapter that goes on the gearbox and greatly improves the issues. it is possible to convert from fine to course as the upper and lower gearboxes are the same just with a coupler installed however you will need to replace the vertical and the first horizontal auger section at minimum. | |
