Subject: RE: Deere 665Z with Kawasaki motor misses

Hardin County, IA
I'm not sure if it's exactly the same but we have a Deere 727A at work with a 2 cylinder Kawasaki and it was running very poorly and after some trial and error and some research we finally figured out the pushrods on 1 cylinder were bent. It is a pretty common problem on the Kawasaki motors apparently. It messed up the head when it bent so we ended up finding a new head and parts kit and rebuilt 1 cylinder and adjusted the valves on the other and it's been fine since.
