We had wires inside shrink wrap inside loom rub through on our Steiner a year ago that caused problems but no codes. Acted like it was losing fuel.
The plastic loom actually cut the harness, the wires looked like they had tiger stripes in them from the vibration wear.
A new one for me for sure.
