Subject: Rpm changes by squeezing this wiring harness on truck

DE
2005 international 8600 ism cummins. Been fighting accelerator loss for some years. Replaced entire accelerator pedal assembly, no improvement. Truck started acting up one day in yard. I wedged a screwdriver in accelerator pedal to get it to idle around 1300 rpm. Rpm's were not smooth or steady. Got messing with main wiring harness that runs under air cleaner. Moved it up and rpm smoothed out. So ziptied it up higher and worked pretty good for year or so. Now doing same thing. If I squeeze the harness or slightly twist it, rpm changes. Anyone ever seen this?
