Faunsdale, AL | Doesn’t it have a HOLD position on the timer? I usually let something like that run overnight and don’t really worry if it stays connected for a day instead. Depends on how many batteries I guess but low wouldn’t worry me.
My default technique is to connect to as many as I have to charge at once. Usually can run a cord to the machine and do it with them installed, but if they have to be brought to the shop I bring all the nuts and small jumper cables and wire brush them if needed before setting up the charger and charging them all at once.
I have a Schumacher smart charger and spent way too much time getting enough charge back in a set of dead batteries to get it to charge properly like it will if the batteries aren’t very low. Might take restarting it several times whenever I come back by and find it’s shut off with some sort of error message. I like that it supposedly won’t overcharge, but hate when it won’t try.
I’ll figure out if one of the batteries is bad, I just want the darned thing to do a slow charge so I can make that determination
